Those interested in the Explorer Post
can fill out the pre -application form,
by

or obtain an application at the Huber
Heights Police Division between the
hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or call

Upon receipt of application for
membership in the Post, the Advisor
shall:

Cause the applicant to complete the
background waiver form if under age
18.

Required Standards
Potential interested young people are
required to meet the following
standards:
-
Must have attained age 15, and
acceptance into the Post up to age
20. Upon Explorers 21st birthday,
they shall reach their tenure as a
Post member. Explorers shall not
exceed age 21.

Explorers shall remain members until
the end of the quarter in which they
reach age 21.
-
Must maintain a 2.0 grade point
average.
-
Must maintain a good moral character
and clean record.
-
Must maintain an appearance and
demeanor, which is in keeping with
the standards of the Huber Heights
Police Division.
-
Must be in good physical health and
possess no deficiency in their
physical condition, which would
deter from a Law Enforcement career.

Must be a responsible citizen in the
community with a good reputation.
-
Must have full approval of parents
and/or guardian and assurance of
their support and cooperation.
-
Must successfully complete the LEEP
Basic Academy.
